The whole drug deal gone bad scene from the 1997 movie Boogie Nights.Scene Backdrop: At this point in the film, Dirk, Reed and Todd are total strung out coke addicts looking to get the next 'score'. Todd(Thomas Jane) devises a plan to trick a local drug lord(Alfred Molina) into buying bogus coke to get money they desperately need to feed their addiction. Dirk and Reed go along with the plan and what ensues is, in my opinion, one of the most well crafted scenes in movie history.*Since I keep getting comments on what the songs are in this scene, I'll just list them here:1. Also, the Music Supervisor on this movie should have won every Award out there! Especially the music used for this scene and the way it was used, Genius! Of course hats off to PT Anderson on that as well!

Saw this movie 5 times when it came out 11 years ago! 97 saw a lot of great films in my opinion. I remember being in the middle of a snowstorm on my b-day in November when I dragged my Mom to see it with me for what was my 3rd time and this scene mesmerized me just as it did the 1st time I saw it! I would have to say from a Filmmaker's perspective that the character action and choreography in this scene is by far one of the best I've ever seen, certainly inspired me GREATLY, God Bless!

best scene of an amazing film. this just oozes tension. some random chinese dude lighting off fire crackers indoors during a drug deal where everyone is stoned out of their minds and night ranger's sister christian is playing in the background.
