I shouldn't have to be "defencensive" as you so grammatically correctly put it. a "made-up character" is no representation of the real views of the author. But this concept seems to be totally beyond your grasp. Yes, Borat is funny because I find it a humourous parody of the characteristics one would imagine to find in such a place as Kazakhstan. Maybe you should stick to your novels which advocate "decentcy" but you might want to start with a dictionary first.

There is hardly anything satirical about this video and Borats ideoligies, on how he preceives the world. Rather he is iggnorant and lacks both knowledge and understanding. By this I mean if he were to consume knowledge he will not make anything by it for he won't understand. This is cleary shown through his exploitation of senstives matters and engaging in such activies further proves his uncivilty to his surroundings.
