José Carreras At Liceu-June 2008-"Musica Proibita"

Josep Carreras Recital was take place 17th of June, at 8pm. This Recital celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of his debut in the Liceu. The tenor performed pieces by Eduard Toldrà , Francesco Paulo Tosti, Giacomo Puccini, Alessandro Scarlatti and others, and he will be accompanied on the piano by Lorenzo Bavaj.Following the last season initiative, with opera Norma, the Josep Carreras recital will be broadcast on TV3, the same 17th of June, and will also be broadcast in a giant screen placed in the Plaza del Mar, in the Barceloneta District.

Such a bad technique since the very beginning, warned about it but never heard the critics and knowlegeable public, here his VIBRATO shows that, very obvious, his last note just a loud cry, golla sempre.

Carreras isn't older man.His voice is the same emotional and exciting,since 20 years ago.Of course that his high voice has a problem.I think that him will sing untill nearly 70 years old.Because he is a inteligent singer.e knows what type of repertoire he is able to sing.The napolitan,catalan songs,may be sung by him very good.Now,neither opera arias,this he cannot to sing anymore!

The colour of voice that this man has !He is forcing a bit, but it is better than some years ago, I think !He has just to let his voice pour out of him and you just love it !

being live at a recital with Jose Carreras and Lorenzo Bavaj is such a special experience, they are wonderful to listen to...
