I love this song and Vince's voice is fabulous. When this video was made I imagine they could see each other staying together all of their lives. My mom and dad would have celebrated their 55th anniversary this month and in this day and age that's a record. Thank you for posting. - Paula

John Hughey played the steel guitar backing for this recording. Absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately he has now passed on but what a wonderful combination he made with Vince Gill.

I'm just wondering, but didn't you ever think of having kids with him, that were yours and his? I know this is none of my business, just curious.

this is mine and my husband brent's song. 15 years and 3 step-kids between us, plus everything else like depression, infidelity, etc., we have finally overcome all our obstacles and are doing great---together forever with just us

My mother and father made this thier song. My father passed away with cancer 11/20/08 and he would sing this to my mother as she held his frail hands and tears rolled down his face. If there ever was a love that would go down in history, my parents had it. My mother still speaks to him daily and misses him every minute of the day. God bless Real love and those who truly commit to thier vows. What a wonderful thing, love can be when it is real...God Bless you dad. Love, Charlie.

I guess it wasn't real for Vince since he divorced and married Amy Grant.
