baklava's homeland is gaziantep/turkiye for all the world. and unfortunately baklava was stolen by greeks too. as so many other turkish foods or traditions.

baklava is Greek guys. it was first made in constantinoupoli, now known as istambul when it was greek land by greeks. even many hundreds of years later the turks tried to claim the desert as turkish but lost the court case and the desert was paitented Greek.
